José Muci-Abraham is a summa cum laude Doctor in Law, a graduate from Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1951, with Specialized Studies in International, Civil, Commercial and Procedural Law from Universidad de Madrid, Spain (1952-1953).
Professor of International Private Law and commercial Law in the Law Schools of Universidad Central de Venezuela and Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, Dean of the School of Law of Universidad Central de Venezuela (1955-1957) and Member (Individuo de Número) of the Venezuelan National Academy of Political and Social Sciences.
He has authored over sixty essays and legal books, including Aval de la Letra de Cambio, Anotaciones sobre el Endoso por Procuración, Cuenta Corriente Bancaria and Asociaciones en Participación.
Throughout his long career, José Muci-Abraham has advised and defended the interests of national and international clients in business, commercial and corporate operations of the most diverse nature, as well as in trials and complex civil, tax and administrative arbitration procedures.
Because of his solid education, experience and integrity, he has been frequently sought and hired by attorneys for legal counseling that requires highly specialized knowledge and to act as a Lawyer’s Lawyer.
He founded Escritorio Muci-Abraham & Asociados in 1978 and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Banco del Caribe, Bolívar Banco Universal, Americana de Reaseguros, bbo Servicios Financieros and the Options and Futures Compensation Chamber of Venezuela.
He was also Alternate Judge for the Appellate Court for Civil and Commercial matters, Federal District and Miranda State (1971-1973) and General Treasury Inspector of the Republic of Venezuela (1974-1976).
